We always reserve the right to retain any offspring from any breeding for any reason. Reservations with a $50.00 deposit will be taken on any breeding listed on the schedule in the order they are received. Reservations can be made for doelings or bucklings, but we do not take reservations for color requests or polled status etc. In the event that we are unable to fulfill your reservation the $50.00 is refundable or can be applied to a future reservation.
Once a kid is born, 50% of the price is required to hold a kid. This is a non-refundable deposit unless I cancel the reservation on my end. If kids are not picked up by 10 weeks of age, a $3.00 daily fee will be added to the price of the goat. If a kid is not picked up within 14 days of the agreed upon date, the deposit is forfeited and the kid will be offered for sale to another buyer.
All registered kids will be sold disbudded, tattooed, current on vaccines and deworming, and wethers will be castrated. Our herd is checked routinely for CAE, CL and Johnes’ and results of are available. All goats are sold “as is,” and there are no warranties on the health of a goat after it leaves the farm. A buyer may request any health test, at their expense, through the veterinarian of their choosing prior to the goat leaving our farm. We cannot guarantee height, show quality, or milking capacity. Refunds will not be given once the goat leaves the farm, nor will we accept a goat back due to biosecurity reasons. If a goat has congenital defect that prevents it from breeding or conceiving, confirmed by a veterinarian, we can work out a replacement from a comparable breeding.
Animals that are sold without registration, are not eligible to be registered at a future time.
Goats are wonderfully social, herd animals and will only be sold in pairs or to a home that already has goats. Please don’t ask if I will sell you a goat as a single animal or a companion for your horse. I hate to be the bad guy but the welfare of my animals is my first concern and I will say no.
We prefer to dam raise our goats when possible, which means kids will be available at weaning age. This is typically 10 weeks of age. On occasion we do have bottle-raised kids. They will only be sold established on the bottle to experienced homes or can be available at weaning age.
Cash payment is required for all purchases at time of pick-up. Transportation of the goat to its new home is the responsibility of the buyer. We are happy to help assist in the search for a reputable transporter if needed.
